Insurance Coverage
There are many different insurance companies with different types of coverage. Not all Blue Cross policies pay the same. Not all UnitedHealthcare policies pay the same. When you come in for your consultation we will get your insurance information from your insurance card and check for the specific coverage that you have with your company. This way you will know up front, before you incur any costs, just what your financial responsibilities will be in our office.
We use many different alternative therapies at our office. Very often these therapies are considered “elective procedures” by insurance companies. They, therefore, will not pay on them. As many of you know, insurance doesn’t typically cover plastic surgery, Lasik eye surgery, orthodontics, and hearing aids. There are some things that insurance just doesn’t cover.
Despite this, we stay on the cutting edge of new technologies like cold laser therapy, non-surgical spinal decompression, and brain based therapy. We want to offer you the option of choosing alternative care that you don’t get at the typical health care office. The patients we take care of have usually been to many different doctors, tried many different medications, and have even had surgeries. They come here regardless of insurance coverage because they are tired of hurting and want relief from their misery.
In summary, we will check insurance coverage for you and let you know how much your policy will pay on your care here. For those with minimal or no coverage, we offer no-interest monthly payment plans. We are providers for Blue Cross and Medicare. We are not providers for Capital Health Plan, but have many patients that decide to come here anyway to get the alternative care that they can not get “in network”. Financial considerations are obviously a reality, but our low, no-interest monthly payment plans allow most people to get the care they want and need.
